Alagappa University Distance Learning Courses

Alagappa University offers Job Oriented Distance Learning courses. They are useful for those students who are unable to do a regular course. Distance Learning course's Application Procedures of Alagappa University are given below.

The Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi has accorded ex-post facto approval for 108 programs (order No.F.No.DEC/AU/KKD/TN/4425/2008, dated 24.11.2009) offered through the distance mode of Alagappa University, Karaikudi, with effect from 1995

Application Procedure for Alagappa University Distance Learning courses are

Admission under distance education stream
The candidate may seek admission either directly to the University or through any one of the approved Study Centres. The list of Approved Study Centres is given in the Website www.alagappauniversity.ac.in.

If the candidates enroll directly with the University, the Course Materials shall be directly sent to them and they have to attend the Contact Classes and Examinations at Karaikudi only.

If candidates enroll through Study Centres, the Course Materials shall be sent through the Study Centres and they have to attend the Contact Classes arranged by the Study Centres at their places.

Direct admission with the University
The following documents are to be enclosed along with the filled-in application:

• The original entry qualification of HSC/ Diploma Certificate or Degree or Provisional Certificate and a copy attested by the Gazetted Officer. (Original Certificates will be returned immediately after verification)
• Student Index Card with stamp size photo and signature affixed.
• Demand Draft for the prescribed total fees drawn in favour of the Director, DDE, Alagappa University, payable on any bank at Karaikudi.
• No Transfer Certificate is required for admission to any of the Courses. The Directorate will also not issue any Transfer Certificate. However, a 'Course Completion Certificate' may be issued for those candidates who apply for it.
